Susie Dasher - Class Of 1885

Miss Susie Dasher, 82, lifelong resident of the community, died Sunday afternoon at the Kennedy nursing home, Flora, where she had been taken last week. Born in Tippecanoe township on November 27, 1864, she was the daughter of Jacob and Sarah (Morgan) Dasher. She had maintained a home in South Delphi and had lived with her late sister, Mrs. John Mount, Sr., until the death of the latter many years ago. She was a member of the Delphi Methodist church and had always been active in church affairs. Surviving is a brother, Morgan Dasher of Rochester and a sister, Mrs. Zibe Redding of Indianapolis. Haughey Mount of Delphi is a nephew and Mrs. Floyd Thomas of near Flora is a niece. Funeral rites were conducted Tuesday afternoon from the Grimm funeral home with the Rev. Merlin Schwein officiating. Burial was in the Dyer cemetery. Pallbearers at the rite were C. O. Julius, Dr. C. F. Sheets, Harry Reed, Earl Thompson, William Redding and Grover Kite.
