Grace Moore (Miller) - Class Of 1885

Mrs. Grace Moore Miller, widow of Owen L. Miller died Tuesday evening at her home in Indianapolis. She was born Feb. 1865 in Delphi where her father, Cameron Moore was one of the pioneer businessmen. Her grandparents came from Pennsylvania and were among the very early setters along the Wabash. Her three brothers, Jesse C. Moore, William A. and Robert Moore were all well known in Delphi. Of these, only Jesse C. survives. Mrs. Miller and her brothers all attended the University of Michigan where she met her husband. Mr. Miller brought his family to Indianapolis in 1902 and soon after founded the O. L. Miller and Company, one of the early manufacturers of concrete products. Mrs. Miller came from a long line of Baptist ancestors, one of whom preached in Philadelphia when there were only a few log cabins there. She was a member of many clubs of Indianapolis and had been a member of the First Baptist church of that city for over fifty years. The survivors are a son, Allen C. Miller of Indianapolis, Mrs. George Falkenberg, a daughter, her brother, Jesse C. Moore and three grandchildren.
