Helen Mary Baird, 93, of Frankfort, died at 11:40 p.m. July 20, 1992, in Home Hospital, Lafayette.
  Born Dec. 10, 1898, in Carroll County, she was the daughter of Oliver and Nettie Josephine Brookbank Hornbeck.  Her marriage was in June 1919 in Kokomo, to Oscar Samuel Baird, who died in 1957.
  A 1917 graduate of Delphi High School, she received her teaching degree from Angola College.
  A former teacher, she was a member of Yeoman United Methodist Church and a former member of the Frankfort Home Demonstration Club.
  Surviving are two daughters, Mary Jane Wainscott of Frankfort and Beverly Bunnell of Kokomo; a brother, Ralph Hornbeck of Benton Harbor, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.  A son, four brothers, and four sisters preceded her in death.
  Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Eller-Weston Funeral Home, Frankfort.  Burial will be in Yeoman Cemetery.  Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
