Dorothy Emrick (McDonald)

Dorothy Marie McDonald, 84, formerly of Kokomo, died at 11:57 p.m. Dec. 16, 1989, at St. Elizabeth Health care Center, Delphi, where she had resided since October 1988.  She had been in poor health for three and a half years.
  Born April 27, 1905, in Delphi, she was the daughter of John B. and Mary R. Sines Emrick.  She was a 1923 graduate of Delphi High School and moved to Kokomo more than 40 years ago.
  She was married in Delphi in 1924 to Donald Van Natta, who preceded her in death.  In 1946 she was married in Kokomo to Alfred McDonald, who also preceded her in death.
  A retired beautician, she had owned and operated Dorothy's Beauty Shop in Kokomo for many years.
  She was a member of Delphi First Presbyterian Church.
  Surviving are one son, John E. Van Natta of Chicao, Ill.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two sisters.
  Graveside services were Tuesday at Zion Cemetery, Rt. 2, Flora, with Rev. Ellis Gasser officiating.  Horn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
