Louis Kent

 Louis Kent, 45, former Delphi High School commercial teacher and well known educator, died Thursday noon in a Prescott, Arizona, hospital.  Kent had resigned his Delphi teaching position in 1959 after suffering a severe asthma attack and with his family moved to Arizona.

     Kent came to Delphi in 1940 and served until being called into the service in World War II returning here after the war to continue his teaching.  He was also a substitute clerk in the local post office for a number of years.  He was a member of the Delphi American Legion Post #75.

     Surviving are his wife, Betty, a former president of the Delphi Tri Kappa; two daughters, Susan and Sally, both at home; his father, Henry and two brothers, Dr. Robert Kent and Ralph Kent, all of Indianapolis.

     Funeral rites were held Monday at the Widner funeral home in Prescott with burial there.
