Clyde Buchanan

Clyde C. Buchanan, 86, of Rt. 3, Delphi, died at 6 a.m. Friday, February 13, 1981, at his residence.
  Born May 26, 1894, in Hawkins County, Tenn, he was the son of Robert and Mary Dorothula Short Buchanan.  He married May 11, 1946, in Battle Ground, to Barbara Wallace, who survives.
  He retired in 1965 from Delphi Community High School after 26 years of employment.  He was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church of Whitehorn, Tenn.
  Surviving with the wife are two sons, Charles Buchanan of Walton and Clyde O "Bud" Buchanan of Rt. 3, Delphi; four daughters, Louise Randolph and Claudia Ingram, both of Delphi, Minnie Osborn of Marion, and Janice Byers of Fairfax, Va.; two brothers, Rassie Buchanan of Church Hille, Tenn.; and P.R. Buchanan of Morristown, Tenn.; two sisters, Mary Enauv Long of Bulls Gap, Tenn.; and Ann Taylor of Florida; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
  Two brothers, two sisters and one granddaughter preceded him in death.
  Services were Sunday at the Jackson Funeral Home, Delphi, with the Rev. William Heinrich officiating.  Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery.
