DELPHI -- Helen L. Butcher, 63, of Delphi, died Friday, May 13, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Central in Lafayette.

She was born Dec. 25, 1947, in Logansport, to the late Charles and Mary Catherine Parman Walker.  She attended Delphi schools.

On Oct. 26, 1974, she married Virgil Butcher at Pittsburg Missionary Baptist Chruch.  He survives.

Mrs. Butcher was a homemaker and a baby sitter.  She was a member of Twin Lakes Southern Baptist Church in Monticello.

She enjoyed flowers and studying Bible scriptures.

Surviving with her husband are two sisters, Elizabeth Pottenger of Russiaville and Toni Martin of Dayton; and four brother, Charlie Walker (wife: Ruth) of Fairmount, Larry Walker (wife:Ruth) of Delphi, Melvin Walker (wife: Norma) of Hollow Rock, Tenn., and John Walker (wife: Shirley) of Kokomo.

Services will be Wednesday in Monticello.
