Clayton Mullin - Class Of 1938

CLAYTON A. MULLIN, age 91 of Sheridan, passed away October 9, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospice, Indianapolis. He was born January 11, 1920 in Carroll County, Indiana to Arthur R. and Mary E. (Been) Mullin, both deceased. He was a 1938 graduate of Delphi High School and graduated from Purdue University with an undergraduate degree in Entomology and Plant Biology. He earned a Masters Degree in Education. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WW II. He married November 14, 1952 to Martha I Fulton who survives him.

Mr. Mullin taught Chemistry and Biology at Camden High School and also taught at Crawfordsville and Burlington. He served as principal at Crawfordsville Elementary School and was an Educator for more than 20 years. He was also a farmer and he and his wife owned and operated a farm drainage business for many years. He was a member of Camden Masonic Lodge and Delphi American Legion.

Survivors in addition to his wife include 2 sons, Eric (April) Mullin of Sheridan and Larry Sullivan of Kokomo; 1 daughter, Janice (Larry) Brown of Frankton; 4 grandchildren; Brittany Mullin, Morgan Mullin; Tony Fulton, and Lisa Keefe; 3 great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Rebecca and Samuel Keefe; and 1 brother, William H. (Rita) Mullin of Zionsville.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Gisele E. Mullin; 2 brothers, John T. Mullin and Merlin Mullin; and both parents.
