Bob Scott

 

Robert "Bob" Scott, 83, of Camden, died at 11:05 Feb. 10, 2000, in St. Elizabeth Healthcare where he had been a patient for a month.
  Born Oct. 12, 1916, in Clinton County, he was the son of Oliver Berton and Ethel Hopp Scott.  On Feb. 3, 1938, he married Juanita M. Reed in Boone County.  She survives.
  He was a custodian at Delphi Community High School for 15 years, retiring in 1986.  He also was a retired farmer, having farmed in Clinton, Tipton, and Carroll counties.  He came to Carroll Count in 1954.
  Mr. Scott was a member of Delphi Christian Church where he had been an elder and Sunday school teacher.  He was a member of the Carroll County Farm Bureau and a former member of the board of directors.  He also was a member of the former Tipwa Grange in Pittsburg.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
  Also surviving are six sons, Ronald L. Scott of Kentland, Don R. Scott of Valparaiso, Dr. James R. Scott of Indianapolis, Michael A. Scott of Remington, David J. Scott of Greensburg and Jeffrey N. Scott of Brownsubrg; four daughters, Aleta M. Tyner of Northbrook, Ill., Marilyn K. Pabst of Terre Haute, Mary Ellen Grubbs of Covington, and Patricia L. Curts of Delphi; 30 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one great-grandson, five brothers, and a sister.
  Services were Sunday at Delphi Christian Church with Pastor Andrew Paris officiating.  Burial was in Scott Cemetery, Circleville.  Horn-Davidson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
