Robin Hunt (Flanagan) - Class Of 1977

Robin D. Hunt Flanagan, 53, of 11805 Tecumseh Bend Road, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at 12:57 a.m., at St. Elizabeth Central Hospital, Lafayette. She had been a patient there since Oct. 3, and diagnosed with lung cancer on Aug. 28. She was born Dec. 12, 1958, in Lafayette, to the late Kenneth Dale and Freeda Mae Scott Hunt. Her marriage was to Mark A. Flanagan in Delphi on April 3, 1976, and he survives. She attended Delphi High School. She attended the Delphi Wesleyan Church. She worked for her daughter and son-in-law at their business, Morrow Shoe Shop in Delphi, for the past 14 years. She was a member of the Tecumseh Bend Association, loved living on the river, boating, fishing, horseback riding and golf cart rides around her river bend neighborhood. She dearly loved her husband, her daughter and son-in-law, and the light of her life, granddaughter, her three sisters, extended family and many friends. Robin never knew a stranger, her laugh was intoxicating and she always greeted you with a smile and a hug.

Surviving along with her husband are her daughter, Carrie (Rich) Gardiner, of Delphi; granddaughter, Kalin M. Gardiner, at home; three sisters, Carol (Richard) Daniels, of Delphi, Teri L. Funk, of Normal, Ill., and Sheri L. Minnicus, of Williamsport.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Dale Hunt Jr.; a niece and nephew; brother-in-law, Ronald Funk.

Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Abbott Funeral Home, Delphi, with her service at 8 p.m., Father David Buckles officiating. There will be a private family interment of her ashes.
