Don Kirkpatrick - Class Of 1945

Donald L. "Abe" Kirkpatrick, 65, of Indianapolis, died Nov. 27, 1991, in St. Frances Hospital, where he had been a patient for three weeks. Born Feb. 12,1926, in Delphi, he was the son of Monroe and Margaret Lewis Kirkpatrick. His marriage was to Eldora Salters, who survives. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was employed at Citizens Gas and Coke in Indianapolis for many years before retiring due to ill health. He attended Delphi schools and was a member of Delphi American Legion Post No. 75. Also surviving are two daughters, Jenny Faye DeBoore and Annetta Richards, both of Indianapolis; four sons, Donald L., Jr., Robert, Tim and Art Kirkpatrick, all of Indianapolis; five sisters, Merle Odell of Chalmers, Frances Berry of Fowler, Mary Ruth Cullum and Elizabeth Davis, both of Lafayette, and Norma Wilkinson of Crawfordsville; four brothers, Oscar of Delphi, Lewis of Monticello, Paul and Jack, both of Lafayette. Services and burial were Saturday in Indianapolis.
