Helen L. Weaver Schilling, 88, of Delphi, died Friday, January 10, 2014 at 5:10pm at White Oak Health Campus-Monticello. She was born May 26, 1925 in Chalmers, IN, to the late Ross & Sylvia Anderson Weaver. Her marriage was to John "Jack" Schilling in Delphi, on November 1946, and he preceded her in death on November 18, 1989. She was a 1943 graduate of Delphi High School, and a member of the Delphi United Methodist Church. She was a legal secretary, and was Deer Creek Township Trustee for 28 years. She was a member of the Delphi Tri Kappa Associate chapter, and a longtime member of the Delphi United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing bridge, and was in many bridge clubs, an avid reader, and dearly loved her family and all of the time they spent together. Surviving are daughter-Jacque Eaglebarger of Delphi; son-Mark & Jennette Schilling of Monticello; sisters-Mildred Medley of Monticello, Gladys & Bill Galbreth of Parker City; brothers-Mainard Weaver of Kalamazoo, MI, Harvey & Pat Weaver of Hart, MI, Joe & Mary Weaver of Logansport. 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren survive. Preceded in death by a brother Elmer, a sister Hazel. Friends may call from 11 a.m. Tuesday until her funeral at 1 p.m. at the Delphi United Methodist Church, just South of the High School, Rev. Todd Ladd officiating. Tri Kappa Memorial service will take place at 12:30 p.m. at the church. Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery-Delphi.
