John Kesner

Services for John Franklin Kesner, 56, of Camden, were Saturday at Sullivan Funeral Home, Camden, with the Rev. Richard Recher officiating. Burial was in the Camden Cemetery. He died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 26, 1977, at his residence. Born Sept. 17, 1920, in Parke County, he was the son of John W. and Fay Graham Kesner. He was married Feb. 16,1944, at Attica to Madeline B. Bohannon, who survives. He was owner and operator of Kesner’s Barber Shop, Camden, a bus driver for the Delphi Community Schools for 29 years and a member of the Camden- Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Department. A member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Camden, he was finance officer for the American Legion Post No. 413, and a member of the Camden Community club, the Mt. Zion Lodge, No. 211, F & AM, the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Indianapolis, and the Marine Corps League. Surviving with the wife and mother of Flora are two daughters, Mrs. Judy Ferrier of Bloomington, Ill., and Mary Lois Lohrman of Maumee, Ohio; two brothers, James W. Kesner of Brookheaven, Miss., and Ray P. Kesner of Lebanon, and two grandchildren.
