Funeral services were Tuesday at Thompson Funeral Home, Delphi, for Kenneth Allen Britton, 54, Delphi, who died Friday, Dec. 22,1978, in Veteran’s Hospital, indianapolis, following a two year illness. He had been in the hospital five days. Born April 9,1924, in Wolcott, he was the son of Charles H. and Bertha Norris Britton. He married Frances Stoner in Delphi August 10,1955, who died March 26, 1977. He had been an employee of Carroll County R.E.M.C. for over 25 years and was a World War II Army veteran. He was a 1940 graduate of Delphi High School, a member of Delphi American Legion Post 75 and attended the Delphi Christian Church. Survivors include his mother of Delphi, one daughter, Lori, at home; five sisters, Mrs. Reginal (Opal) Bloor, Trafalgar, Mrs. Albert (Vera) Gerbens, Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Paul (June) Coghill, Delphi, Mrs. Lois Horn, Monticello and Mrs. Maxine Mills, Lafayette. Rev. Ray Nelson officiated at the funeral. Military graveside services and burial were in Pittsburg Cemetery.
