Marie L. Adair, 88, Rensselaer, died at 6:47 a.m. Wed., Jan. 2, 1980, in Jasper County Hospital at Rensselaer, where she had been hospitalized two and a half weeks. Born in Delphi Nov. 2, 1891, she was the daughter of Daniel and Julia Smith Jones. She had resided in Rensselaer since December 1916. She was educated in Delphi schools and was a member of Christian Mothers, K of C Auxiliary and St. Teresa Study Club. Her marriage June 26, 1912, at Delphi was to John J. Adair. Surviving with the husband are two sons, John Maurice Adair of Phoenix, Ariz., and Robert W. Adair of Rensselaer; one brother, William K. Jones of Dyer; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A brother and one sister preceded her in death. Services were Saturday morning at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Rensselaer where she was a member Rev. Richard Riedel officiated. In terment was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Jackson Funeral Home at Rensselaer was in charge of arrangements.
