Scott Dean Pearson, 23, Delphi, was killed instantly Sunday, March 23,1980, at 3:30 a.m. in a car-train crash on North Market Street, Delphi. Bom June 16, 1956, in Lafayette, his parents are Ralph (Dick) and Eva (Peggy) Doerr Pearson. He was an employee of Shank Plumbing and Heating in Delphi. A member of the United States Army reserves, he attended Delphi Community High School and is a member of the Sons of American Legion. Surviving with the parents are one brother, Michael John Pearson, at home; two sisters, Anna Louise Pearson, at home and Mrs. Ron (Mary) Hughes, Delphi. Funeral services were Tuesday morning at Thompson Funeral Home, Delphi. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery with military graveside services.
