Glenda Weckerly (Milakis) - Class Of 1954

Mrs. Glenda Lee Weckerly Milakis, 44, 3100 Prairie Lane, Lafayette, died at 6:20 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 1980, in Home Hospital where she had been a patient eight weeks. She had been in ill health 10 years. Born in Lafayette, she was the daughter of Glenn and Nada Holloway Weckerly. She was reared in Delphi and returned to Lafayette when she was 16. In 1955 she was married to Stanley Milakis at Paris, Ill. She formerly worked as a laboratory technician in the Veterinary Science School at Purdue. She was a member of First Christian Church and was active in community affairs. Surviving with the husband are two sons, Michael D. and Tony, both at home; her mother, Nada Weckerly of Lafayette; one brother, David Weckerly of Delphi, and a sister, Linda Johannsen of Lafayette. Funeral services were Sunday afternoon at Lafayette with interment in Yeoman Cemetery. Delphi Carroll County Comet September 3, 1980

Glenda was my 1st grade girl friend.
