William Phillips, Sr., 73, of Monticello and formerly of Delphi, passed away on Wed., Dec. 31, 2014 at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette. William was born on Oct. 22, 1941 in Delphi to the late Henry W. and Dorothy I. (Johnson) Phillips. He attended schools in Delphi.

Mr. Phillips retired in 1966 from Globe Valve Manufacturing due to poor health.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shelling mussels.

He is survived by his son: William Phillips, Jr., of Delphi; daughters: Joyce Phillips of West Lafayette and Dora Willis (husb: Robert) of Delphi; sister: Judy Rodenbarger (husb: Bill) of Delphi; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Along with his parents he was preceded by his daughter-in-law, Patsy Phillips.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
