Kenneth Myers - Class Of 1940

Kenneth L. Myers, 67, of Rt. 2, Monticello, died at 6:15 a.m. June 10, 1990, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center, Delphi. He had been a patient there for one month. Born July 31, 1922, in Carroll County, he was the son of Albert Lee and Hazel Mae Brower Myers. He amended Delphi schools, and resided in the Delphi and Buck Creek areas all his life. His marriage was on May 5, 1945, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Kathleen Johnson, who survives. He worked for Carpenters Local 215, Lafayette, for 18 years, and then was self-employed as a concrete mason for 20 years before retiring in 1985. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942-1945 and was a member of Delphi American Legion Post 75. Surviving with his wife are four sons, Michael L. Myers of Buck Creek, Gary P. "Pat” Myers and Jerry L. Myers of Rt. 2, Monticello, and Brad A. Myers of Rockfield; one daughter, Jackie Felthoff of Delphi; four brothers, Jack Myers of Lafayette, John Myers of Phoenix, Ariz., Charles Myers and Joe Dean Myers of Delphi; one sister, Martha Young of Delphi; 13 grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. Services will be at 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Horn Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Ashley officiating. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to Carroll County Cancer Association.
