Wilma Fultz (Smith) - Class Of 1959

Wilma S. Fultz Smith, 64, of 2096 Illinois St., Delphi, died at 8:25 p.m. on Aug. 23, 2005, at Home Hospital in Lafayette. Born on March 31, 1941, in Tazewell, Tenn., she was the daughter of Neil and Ellen Runion Fultz. She attended Delphi schools. Her marriage was to Jack D. Smith in Delphi on April 26, 1974, and he died Oct. 11, 2004. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker, and, with her husband, built and ministered a church in Delphi. Surviving are two daughters, Maxine Whitus (husband: Denny) of Lafayette, and Elaine Ledman of Delphi; a son, Ed Perry of Delphi; two stepsons Don Smith (wife: Mary) of Delphi and Doug Smith (wife: Jill) of Raton, N.M.; a stepdaughter, Carolyn McAninch (husband: Marvin) of Burnettsville; six sisters, Diana Floyd and Frances Wilson, both of Delphi, Patsy Merrill and Renda Cline, both of Lafayette, Barbara McTigue of Logansport and Brenda Lind of Indianapolis; five brothers, Junior N. Fultz of Ariz., Floyd Fultz of Lafayette, Jack Fultz and Edward Fultz, both of Tenn., Eugene Fultz of Delphi; three grandchildren; and a greatgranddaughter. She was preceded in death by a brother. Services were Saturday in Delphi, with burial at Pleasant Run Cemetery.
