Bernice Arnott - Class Of 1929

Lifelong Delphi resident Bernice C. "Barney" Amott, 82, of  Delphi, died at 6:07 a.m. Tues­day, Dec. 14,1993, in St. Elizabeth Hospital  Medical Center in Lafayette.  Miss Arnott was a former worker at Cliffords Grocery until the mid-40’s when she went to work at Mount and Son Hardware. Both were formerly located in Delphi.  Born Sept. 22, 1911, in Carroll County,  she was the daughter of Gillis A Pearl Churchill Amott.  She attended the former St. Joseph School for eight years and was a 1929 graduate of Delphi High school.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delphi, former president and treasurer of Altar and Rosary society, active in bridge clubs in Delphi, including Bridge-a-rama, and Delphi Senior Citizens.

There are no immediate survivors.  Mass will be at 1 pm,  Friday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Del­phi, with Father Donald Hardebeck officiating. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Horn FuneralHome, Delphi, with a Vigil Scrip­ture service at 5 p.m. Burial will be in St. Josephs Cemetery, Delphi.
