Marjorie Isaacs (Baker) - Class Of 1931

Marjorie L. "Peggy" Isaacs Baker, 77, of Lafayette, died at 9:25 PM Friday, Oct. 12, 1990, in Home Hospital. She had been in failing health and hospitalized in September. Born March 25, 1913, at Rockfield, IN, she was raised there and educated at Delphi. She moved to Lafayette in 1933. Mrs. Baker worked at Brown Rubber Co. for 38 years and was last employed at Essex Wire for eight years, retiring in June 1979. She was a member of First Christian Church, Order of Eastern Star, Hope Chapter 5, and Eagles Auxiliary 347. Surviving are a son, William Paul Baker, Jr. of Battle Ground; a brother, Basil Isaacs of Phoenix, AZ; two sisters, Mrs. Naomi Martin of Delphi and Betty (Mrs. William) Koning of Grand Haven, MI; and six grandchildren. Service Oct. 16 at Hippensteel Chapel, the Rev. Dr. Jack L. Snellgrove officiating; internment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. --
