Ines Fisher (Luper) - Class Of 1920

Ines Grace Luper, 88, died Dec. 13, 1990, in Witham Memorial Hospital, Lebanon, where she had been a patient since Dec. 10. She had been in failing health several years. She was born Oct. 20, 1902, near Bringhurst and was raised and educated at Delphi. Her marriage was on Nov. 16, 1921, in Rossville, to Albert Ray Luper, who survives. They farmed in Clinton, Carroll, and Montgomery counties prior to moving to Boone County in 1941. After her husband retired in 1971, they moved to the Mechanicsburg community in 1977. In 1988 they moved to Village Christian Park in Zionsville. Mrs. Luper enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, sewing, and quilting. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church at Frankfort. Surviving with her husband arc three sons, John A. Luper of Edinburgh, Robert A. Luper of rural Kirklin, and Dale E. Luper of Indianapolis; two brothers, John Fisher and Glenn Fisher, both of Delphi; and four sisters, Mary Riley of Monticello, Anna Maxwell of Ockley, Fannie Killian of Lafayette, and Rova Funkhouser of Delphi. Services were Saturday in Lebanon.
