Oscar Rohrabaugh - Class Of 1917

Oscar D. Rohrabaugh, 86, of 409 West Main Street, Delphi, died at 2:15 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 1986, in the Delphi Nursing Home. He had been in failing health several years. Born June 9, 1899, in Carroll County, he was a graduate of Delphi High School. His first marriage was to Katherine Jackson, who died in 1970. On January 30, 1972, he was married in Camden to Hazel Hyman Cline, who survives. Oscar and Hazel had been sweethearts in their youth, and after both had suffered the loss of their first spouse, they got married. Mr. Rohrabaugh was a retired Carroll County farmer and had been an antique dealer in Carroll County, traveling throughout the United States in that business. He was a former member of the Flora Presbyterian Church. Surviving with the widow are a daughter, Mrs. Lois Johnson of New Port Richey, Florida; a grandson, Don Rohrabaugh of Marion, who was reared in the home; two stepdaughters Mrs. Jo Ann Johnson of Camden, and Mrs. Betty Jo Hallam of Pensacola, Florida; a stepson. Robert C. Hyman of Delphi; Three grandchildren, great-grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren and 15 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons and a stepson. Friends may call this evening(Wednesday) from 5-8 p.m. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dr. Joseph Wick officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora.
