Helen Brewer (Hayden) - Class Of 1945

Services for Helen E. Hay- den, 74, of 4806 N. Fifth St, were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Davidson Funeral Home. She died at 9:23 p.m. Monday, May 27, 2002, at her residence. Born Oct 12, 1927, in Delphi, she was the daughter of James "Harry" and Myrtle Hermis Brewer. On June 2, 1945, in Pittsburg, she was married to Harold E. Hayden, who survives. She attended Delphi schools. A homemaker, Mrs. Hayden enjoyed collecting elephant figurines and memorabilia. She was a member of Delphi Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 9383, Westside Flower Club, Delphi American Legion Auxiliary, and Delphi Christian Church. Also surviving are two daughters, Linda Gingerich and her husband, John, Delphi, and Susan Hutsell and her husband, Don- ald, Dunedin, Fla.; one son, Gary E. Hayden and his wife, Deborah, Yeoman; two sisters, Alice King, Gas City, and Mary Wray, Delphi; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. One daughter, Sharon Hayden, her par- ents, and one brother, Elbert Brewer, preceded in death. The Rev. Ellis Gasser will officiate at the services. Burial will be in IOOF Memorial Gardens, Pittsburg. Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home, where a Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary service was held. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association and the American Heart Association.
