Letha Thompson (Isaacs) - Class Of 1939

Mrs. Letha Thompson Isaacs, 68, of 908 South Market Street, Delphi, departed this life at 1:07 p.m. on Friday, November 3, 1989 in the Emergency Room of St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. Born January 13, 1921, in Delphi, she was the daughter of Andrew Thompson and Marie Hayden. On November 30, 1940, she was married in Lebanon, Indiana, to Herbert L. Isaacs, and he survives. A 1939 graduate of Delphi High School, Mrs. Isaacs had previously worked at the Delphi License Branch and the Delphi office of the Carroll County Comet. She was a member of the Delphi Christian Church, Christian Women’s Fellowship, and Wednesday Afternoon Forum. Surviving with her husband, Herbert, are two sons, David L. Isaacs and Kevin J. Isaacs of Delphi; one daughter, Patricia Mulbarger of Delphi; two sisters, Alice Mohler of Delphi and Mary Boyles of Frankfort; one brother, Itha “Bud” Thompson of Louisiana; her step-father, Hugh Widner of Rossville; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in passing by one brother. Services for Mrs. Letha Thompson Isaacs were held on Monday, November 6, 1989, at Horn Funeral Home in Delphi, Pastor David Futrell officiating. Burial was in the IOOF Memorial Gardens. The family suggests memorials to the Arthritis Foundation.
