Bernadine Maxwell (Eastwood) - Class Of 1929

Bernadine Maxwell Eastwood, formerly of Evanston, Ill., died March 30, 1999, at Warren Barr Pavilion in Chicago. Born in Radnor, she was the daughter of Harry and Anna Sheets Maxwell. Her marriage was to Dr. Thomas M. Eastwood on June 28, 1942, in Lafayette. He died May 24, 1984. She moved to Chicago in 1963 from Florida. She previously lived in Pennsylvania, New York, Japan, and the West Indies. Mrs. Eastwood worked in retail at Carson Pine Scott & Co., Chicago, for 18 years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of the North Shore Baptist Church in Chicago and was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star # 475 of Camden. Mrs. Eastwood was a 1929 graduate of Delphi High School. She donated a custom made oak bookcase to the Delphi Public Library. Surviving are one daughter, Patricia Y. Clark of Chicago; and a sister, Mary McCormick of Delphi. Graveside services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Zion Cemetery, with Rev. Ed Selvidge officiating. Abbott Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Delphi Carroll County Comet April 7, 1999
