Ralph Maggart Jr. - Class Of 1945

Citizens of the entire county were saddened last Saturday morning to learn of the untimely death of Ralph Maggart Jr. 15 who passed away early Saturday morning at his home east of Delphi following a long illness. He was born west of Camden, Dec. 24, 1927, the son of Ralph J. and Dorothea Nebeker Maggart. His father is the county agricultural agent of Carroll county. R. J. a sophomore in the Delphi high school, had been prominent in 4-H club work in the county for the past six years and had won many honors at the state fair stock show and 4-H exhibits throughout the state. He was a member of the Delphi Presbyterian church. Survivors include the parents, a sister, Patricia, age 6, the paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Charles Maggart of near Americus Dr. Eva Kennedy of Camden an aunt. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church Monday morning with Grimm and Sons in charge. Rev. Miles A. Freeman officiated reading the scripture and poetry. Organ numbers were played by Mrs. Edith Farr. Burial was made here.
