Michael W. "Mike" Dalton, 30, died at 7:45 PM Monday, May 14, 2001, from injuries sustained in an automobile-train accident near Colburn. He was born Nov. 17, 1970, in Lafayette, and attended Delphi High School. Mr. Dalton had been working for Ruhlander's welding three months, previously working for T&T Concrete of Lafayette and various construction and auto mechanic jobs. Formerly, he attended Delphi Church of God, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving are a daughter, Jazzmine J. Dalton of Delphi; a stepdaughter, Lezlee E. Sims of Delphi; his parents, Jack and Norma Dalton of Delphi; a brother, John Dalton of Greencastle; a half-brother, Steve Dalton of Delphi; and a half sister, Tammy (Buddy) Sanders of Lafayette. He was predeceased by a half-brother and half-sister.
