Clyde Amick

Final rites for Clyde Thomas Amick, 83, of Delphi, will be conducted tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the Masonic Cemetery. Cornell Funeral Home will be in charge. Mr. Amick died Tuesday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, where he had been taken just before noon after suffering a heart attack. He was a retired superintendent of schools at Delphi. Born Sept. 5, 1880, in Scipio, he was the son of John D. and Martha McCloskey Amick. He married Lucy Hulse in 1907. He had been a resident of the community for 40 years. After his retirement in 1943 he taught two years at Camden where he was principal. Survivors are two daughters — Mrs. Watson McCormick, of Delphi, and Mrs. Frances Johnson, of Indianapolis; three grandchildren; and two brothers.
