Jason M Been, 98, formerly of 115 E Front St., Delphi, died at 10:15 a. m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth Health Care Center, Delphi. He was born October 4, 1888 in Carroll County to Joseph and Alice Kinneman Been. He was married October 30, 1915 in Delphi to Estelle Sibbit who died in 1973. He was an attorney for the former A. T. Bowen Bank, Delphi and had his own law practice in Delphi. He was a 1911 graduate of the Indianapolis Law School and received his law degree in 1945 from Indiana University Law School. He was a World War I Army pilot, a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Delphi, a member and past post commander of Delphi American Legion Post 75 and served on the board for Brown Church Cemetery, Burrows. He was also active in the Democratic Party in Delphi. One son preceded in death. Services will be held at 11 a. m. Wednesday at Horn Funeral Home with the Rev Ellis Gasser officiating. Burial with military rites will be held in the Masonic Cemetery Friends may call from 5 to 7 p. m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
