Raymond E. Daniels, 82, of Delphi, died at 11:30 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2003, at St. Elizabeth Health Care, Delphi. He was born on Jan. 15, 1921, in Carroll County, to Ira and Henrietta Patterson Daniels. He married Maxine Smoker on Oct. 29, 1941, in Delphi. She survives. He was a 1939 graduate of Delphi High School. He was a mechanic, and retired from Todd-McLemore Motors in 1983. He was a member of Sons of the American Legion, Delphi. He was a member of Radnor United Methodist Church. He enjoyed restoring vintage autos and repairing lawn mowers. Surviving with his wife are sons, Roger (Neta) Daniels and Richard "Dick" (Carol) Daniels, both of Delphi; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A brother, Paul Daniels, is deceased. Visitation was held Sunday. Services will be conducted today at 11 a.m. at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi, with Pastor Ed Selvidge officiating. Burial will be at Masonic Cemetery, Delphi.
