Dorothy I. Phillips, 79, of Delphi, diesel at 1:34 a.m. June 10, 1998, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, where she was admitted June 5. Born Aug. 27, 1918, in Delphi, she was the daughter of Ben and Della Schrader Johnson. She was married Sept. 17, 1937, in Delphi, to Henry W. Phillips, who died Oct. 15, 1991. Mrs. Phillips was educated in the Delphi schools. She was a homemaker and babysitter and enjoyed reading and baking. She attended Pittsburg Church of the Brethren and was a member of the Westside Flower Cub of Delphi. Surviving are one daughter, Judy Rodenbarger, a son, William "Bill” Phillips; two brothers, John Johnson and Charles Johnson; and a sister, Roberta Coghill, all of Delphi; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister. Services were Friday at Horn Funeral Home with Pastor William Breidenbaugh officiating. Burial was in IOOF Memorial Gardens, Delphi.
