Delores Harner, 73, of Delphi, was found dead of natural causes Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 14, 1998, at her residence. Born Jan. 23, 1925, in Pittsburg, she was the daughter of Earl E. and Sevene Misner Berry. She married Wilbur Paul Harner on June 3, 1946, in Delphi. He died Jan. 27, 1997. She was educated in the Delphi schools and worked at Peters-Revington for 11 years, retiring in 1977. Mrs. Hamer was a lifelong resident of Delphi. She enjoyed ceramic painting and playing the harmonica. Surviving are one daughter, Lu Bunnell of Monticello; a stepdaughter, Jean Ann Strik of Detroit, Mich.; three sisters, Bonnabelle Foster of Delphi, Donnabelle Glass of Anderson, S.C., and Helen Kurtz of Lafayette; two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren. A stepson, one brothel two sisters, and one grandson preceded her in death. Private family services were held at Horn Funeral Home, with burial in IOOF Memorial Gardens, Delphi. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
