Grace Stoner (Baldwin) - Class Of 1922

 Grace M. Baldwin Hall, 95, of Delphi, died at 9:20 p.m. March 13, 2000, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center. She had been a resident there since October 1998. Born Aug. 13,1904, in Delphi, she was the daughter of William L. and Julia Wilson Stoner. Her first marriage was to Bloyd Matson, who preceded her in death. Her second marriage was to Roy Pettit, and he preceded her in death. Her third marriage was to Clifford Baldwin in 1927 in Illinois. He preceded her in death in 1953. She then married Shelby Hall on Aug. 15, 1957, in Delphi, and he preceded her in death in 1986. Mrs. Hall worked for Globe Valve in Delphi for 29 years, retiring in 1969. She attended Delphi Schools. She was a member of the former Calvary Baptist Church in Monticello and the Westside Flower Club, and a former member of the Women’s Relief Corps. She enjoyed going places with her family, bird watching, and the outdoors. Surviving are two sons, Clifford Baldwin of Delphi and Leroy Matson of Flora; two stepdaughters, Bertie Turner of Flora and Juanita Wiseman of Rensselaer; a stepson, Oscar “Bud” Hall of Pern; 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, one stepdaughter, two brothers, two grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Abbott Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Viars officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Burial will be in IOOF Memorial Gardens, Pittsburg.
