Richard D. "Dick" Houser, 76, of Delphi, died Monday-Sept 10, 2018 at 3:12am at his home after a brief illness. He was born Dec 3, 1941 in Carroll County, to the late Dale & Bessie Siefert Houser. His marriage was to Caroline L. Ridgway, in Delphi, on May 21, 1960, and she survives. He attended Delphi High School. He worked for United Feeds in Brookston for 27 years, retiring in 2005. He and his family enjoyed traveling, and he loved to hunt mushrooms in the Spring. He liked to watch the Indiana Pacers & Indianapolis Colts. He also liked to watch NASCAR, and his favorite driver was the late Dale Earnhardt Sr. He dearly loved his family, and spending time with them. Surviving: wife-Caroline L. Houser of Delphi; daughter-Rhonda S. Houser of Delphi; sons-Jeff & Teresa Houser of Delphi, Mark & Sherry Houser of Lafayette; sisters-Doris Shepard of Delphi, Nancy & David Isaacs of Delphi; brother-John Houser of Delphi; 2 grandchildren: Misty & Denny McGee, Elijah Richard Houser; 3 great grandchildren: Caleb Houser, Cameron McGee, Maddie McGee. Preceded in death by 5 brothers: Wayne, Junior, Clayton, Gene, & Danny; 2 sisters: Mary & Ruby.
