Robert E. Robinson, 54, of Rt. 1, Delphi, died unexpectedly at 9:10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 1984, in the emergency room at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. Born Feb. 1, 1930, in Lafayette, he was the son of Earl and Josephine Beaver Robinson. His marriage was Dec. 10, 1949, in Delphi to Erma Wilkerson, who survives. He lived in Carroll County most of his life and attended Delphi High School. He had been a service man for Culligan’s in Delphi for over 30 years before retiring in 1980 due to ill health. Other survivors include one son, Thomas E. Robinson of Lafayette; three daughters, Cathie Kelley, Rt. 2, Brookston, Donna Rieken, Delphi and Christy Robinson, Hudson, Fla.; one brother, Hugh Robinson, Rt. 2, Brookston; his step-mother, Mary Robinson, Delphi; several step-brothers and step-sisters; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers. Services were Sunday at the Horn Funeral Home in Delphi with Rev. Donald Ashley officiating. Burial was in IOOF Memorial Gardens, Pittsburg.
