Ronald James - Class Of 1939

Final services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Grimm Funeral Home in Delphi for Pfc. Ronald R. James, whose remains were returned here from' Luzon Island for final interment. Rev. Howard Jenkins was in charge of the service and burial was in Morning Heights cemetery. Members of Harry Bohannon Post No. 75, American Legion, were in charge of the military rite. The local youth was killed June 15, 1944, on Luzon. He was born here on August 22, 1921, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles James. He attended Delphi schools and was a member of the Pittsburg Brethren church. Surviving with the parents are two sisters, Mrs. Marabelle Burns of Lafayette and Mrs. Phyllis Cox of Pittsburg; five brothers, Jerry, William; Samuel, Roger and David, all at home.
