Aaron Charles - Class Of 1873

Aaron Charles, age 73 years, a life long resident of Carroll Countiy died at his home on North Indiana street Friday of ulsers of the stomach. Mr. Charles had been ailing for some time but had only been confined to his bed for two days. He was well and favorably known in Delphi, where he has lived most of his life, doing carpenter work. He was born (1855) on what is known as the Chris Gros farm and attended the country school, later attending Delphi high school. He leaves his widow and the following children: Mrs. Amy Charles Davis of Columbus; Willis Charles of Greensburg; Mrs. Stella Charles Knecht of Rushville; Harry Charles of Kokomo; Isabel Charles Lester and Fred Charles of Lafayette and twelve grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the residence with Rev. O. P. Manker of the Methodist church in charge; burial in the Odd Fellows cemetery.
