Harley Rardon - Class Of 1921

Harley G. Rardon, 86, of Lafayette, died it 2:30 PN July 16, 1989, in St. Anthony Healthcare. He had been a patient there since January. He was born July 23, 1902, in Delphi. He was reared in Delphi and had lived in Lafayette since 1918. His marriage was June 29, 1923, in Frankfort to Evelyn R. Patterson, who died May 26, 1989. Mr. Rardon was a storekeeper for Monon Railroad for 51 years, retiring in 1970. A former volunteer fireman and Civil Defense volunteer for many years, he was a member of the Lafayette First Baptist Church, Old Rails, and Brotherhood of American Railway Retirees. Surviving are two sons, James D. Rardon of Lafayette and Gene P. Rardon of Mesa, AZ; two sisters, Mary Weese of Lebanon and Ruth Hyer of Dayton, OH; 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Services and burial were today in Lafayette. --
