Robert Wayne Moore, 72, of Glendale Heights, Ill., died Oct. 8, 1997. Born Nov. 25, 1924, in the area, he was the son of Gordon C. and Eva Beard Moore. He attended school in Delphi and worked at various factories in Delphi and Flora. He moved to Illinois and was employed as a senior design engineer for 30 years. He designed spy cameras for military aircraft. He also had worked at Recom Optical in Barrington, Ill. Surviving are his wife, the former Naomi Ellis; a daughter, Bonnie (address unknown); two sisters, Virginia Cole of McMinnville, Tenn., and Shirley J. Saltsman of Delphi; six grandchildren and one adopted grandson. He was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, and a brother. Burial was in Elm Lawn Cemetery in Illinois.
