William R. Thompson, 36, of Rt. 2, Brookston, was killed early Friday when his 1961 car smashed into a tree along Carroll County Road 425-N, a half mile east of C. Born November 12, 1933, in Delphi, he was the son of John E. and Nettie M. Passons Thompson. His marriage on December 11, 1960, in Lafayette, was to Patricia Anne Davis. A veteran of U. S. Army and discharged in July 1958, he was a member of the Yeoman United Methodist Church. He was employed with Standard Oil Company, Brookston Terminal. Surviving with the widow are the mother of Delphi; two sons, Michael at home and Billy Dean of Rt. 1, Burnettsville; two daughters, Pamela Sue of Rt. 1, Burnettsville, and Kathy Anne, at home; two step-children, Laura Lee and Gary Lynn, both at home; two sisters, Mrs. Barbara Sterrett of Delphi, and Mrs. Betty Moon of Logansport.
