Dick Coble - Class Of 1939

Services for John R. “Dick” Coble, 74, of Delphi, were Saturday at Rockfield Christian Church with Pastor Bob Cree officiating . Burial was in IOOF Cemetery, Rockfield. He died at 2:30 a.m. Oct. 4,1995, in his residence. Born March 8, 1921, in Rock Creek Township, he was the son of John Kelly and Faye Snyder Coble. He was married Feb. 16, 1973, in Indianapolis to Eulalia Randolph who survives. Coble was a 1939 graduate of Delphi High School. He served in the Army during World War II. A retired farmer, Coble retired from Exide in 1989. He was a member and elder of Rockfield Christian Church. Also surviving are a daughter, Carol Sue Bogart of Byron, Mich.; a son, William A. Coble of Delphi; a stepdaughter, Sharon Randolph of Delphi; two sisters, Gwen Kahler of Rockfield and Patricia Pittenger of Flint, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A daughter and a brother preceded him in death. Cree Funeral Home, Camden, was in charge of arrangements.
