Mark Perry - Class Of 1978

Mark C Perry, 64, of rural Delphi, passed away unexpectedly after an extended illness on Sunday, March 24,2024 at 1:11 pm at St. Vincent Ascension Hospital in Indianapolis. Mark was born on August 20, 1959 in Tipton to Robert D Perry and Judith M (Jumper) Perry. He attended Delphi Community High School. Mark and Serina (Miles) Perry were married on December 4, 1980. They were married for 41 years during which they were blessed with 3 sons, Cliff (Stephanie), Trevor (Chelsey), Tyler (Stephanie) and four grandchildren, Adelyn, Lucy, Wesley, and Nolan. Mark worked at Haynes International in Kokomo for 33 years. He was a crane operator in air melt and also worked in Reclaim before retiring in 2014. He was a member of the United Steel Workers Local #2958. He attended Lockport Church. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and golfing. He spent 14 years coaching his boys’ baseball teams and enjoyed every minute of it! He was an Avid Purdue basketball and Cubs fan. He loved his family very much and loved being papaw to his four grandkids. Surviving: sons - Cliff (Stephanie) of Kokomo, Trevor (Chelsey) of Lafayette, Tyler (Stephanie) of Lafayette, father - Robert “Bob” Perry of Monticello, sister - Pennie Brackett of Kokomo, brother - Bill (Tracy) of Burnettsville and grandchildren - Adelyn, Lucy, Wesley, and Nolan Perry. He was preceded in death by his mother Judith M (Juniper) Perry, brother Bobby Perry, and a niece. Services: The visitation will be from 11:00 am, Thursday, March 28 until his funeral service at 1:00 pm, at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc in Delphi and will be officiated by Pastor William Babb. The burial will take place at Brown Church Cemetery near Rockfield following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy consider making a donation to the American Kidney Fund.
