Donna C. Reed Stevens, 88, of Delphi, passed away Thursday-December 12, 2024, at 7:20pm, at Franciscan Health Lafayette East Hospital. Donna was born on December 24, 1935, in Delphi, to her late mother H. Ruth Reed. Donna married Donald J. Stevens Sr, in Delphi, on January 12, 1952, and he preceded her in death on April 29, 1997. Donna attended Delphi High School and received her GED in 1987. She formerly worked at ESSEX’s in Flora for 17 years, then as an aide at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center in Delphi for 13 years. Donna was an avid reader and enjoyed word search puzzles. She enjoyed traveling with her family to their favorite State parks where they camped and hiked. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s school and sporting events and loved the pet cats she always had. Donna’s greatest love was for her family. She loved to have them all over to her house to share a meal and just be together. They were her life. Surviving: daughter-Donna & Tom Shockley of Delphi, daughter-Janis & Gary Johns of Idaville, son-Douglas & Karen Stevens of Burnettsville, son-Cliff Stevens of Delphi, son-Donald J. Stevens Jr of Lafayette. 18 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren survive. Preceded in death by a son James, 2 sisters Betty & Marian, a granddaughter Athena. Services: Private family services will take place. Private family burial will be held at IOOF Memorial Gardens, Pittsburg.
