Florence Kirkpatrick (Erbaugh)

Florence B. "Pat" Kirkpatrick Erbaugh died Oct. 11,2004 at her Delphi home. She was 99.

Born June 20, 1905, in Greenfield, she was the daughter of the late C.A. and Ethel Akerman Kirkpatrick. She married Dr. Charles N. Erbaugh in Logansport. He died in 1966.

Mrs. Erbaugh was a 1922 graduate of Plainfield High School and received a bachelors degree in education from Indiana University and a masters in education from Purdue University. She worked as a high school business teacher in Logansport, Delphi and Camden schools before retiring in 1973.

She was a member of the Delphi United Methodist Church and the Indiana State Teachers Association. She was also a member of the Camden chapter of Order of the Eastern Star, where she received a 75 year pin a few years ago.

She had enjoyed fishing, hunting mushrooms and other outdoor activities.

Survivors include a friend and longtime caregiver LeAnn Toole, and caregivers Margaret Bartlow, Sue Burge, Bernice Burge and Carolyn Claiborne.

Graveside services were Oct. 13 at maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield with the rev. Todd Ladd officiating. Abbott Funeral Home in Delphi handled arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Florence B. Erbaugh Scholarship for Education through the funeral home.
