Jack Lee Tribbett, 85, of Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Franciscan Health Lafayette Hospital. He was born on May 19, 1940 in Logansport to the late Robert and Vera (Smith) Tribbett.
After graduating from Delphi High School in 1958, Jack enlisted in the Army National Guard and served as a medic. He worked as an Ultrasonic Operator at Alcoa for over 52 years. He was married to Carla Dolbow on May 17, 2009, and she survives.
Jack was an active member of the Eagles, Moose Lodge, and the American Legion. He was hard working, loyal and took pride in showing up every day at Alcoa. He enjoyed traveling during his time off. More than anything, Jack cherished the time that was spent with his children and grandchildren. Jack also loved weekends at Raccoon Lake, a crisp velour sweatsuit, a fine steak with a vodka Martini. He could often be found cruising around town in his red convertible corvette with his bird dog “Charlie” by his side. Jack will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In addition to his wife, Carla Tribbett, Jack is survived by his children, Barbara A. Musick and Tommy Smith; adopted children, Missy Freels and Chris Harth; step children, Doug (Brenda) Butler, Cindi Drake, Amy (Chris) Cripe, and Julie (Rick) Geisler; and step grandchildren, Payton (Josh) Drake, Becca (Dave) Butler, Josie (Nick) Bayley, Colton(Mariah) Geisler, Lexi (Drew) Cripe, and Lily Cripe. Also surviving is a great granddaughter Blake Bayley.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Kenneth Stuart, a sister Dixie Widner, and son in law William “Bill” Drake.
