William "Bill" Floyd Parr, 89, of Lafayette, IN, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 in Mulberry, IN.
He was born on November 7, 1936 in Lafayette, Indiana to the late Henry D. and Mary L. (Buckles) Parr.
On January 24, 1959, Bill married Marian K. Siple in Delphi, Indiana.
Bill was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for 27 years before he retired in 1992.
He was a member of New Hope Fellowship Church. Bill was also a member of Tippecanoe Lodge 492 F&AM, the High Twelve Club, the Scottish Rite, the Order of the Eastern Star, the Letter Carriers Union, and the National Federated Craft where he served as Past President and Treasurer. He was a Kentucky Colonel an honor bestowed on him by the Governor of Kentucky.
Bill enjoyed gardening, camping, and his dogs.
Surviving are his wife, Marian Parr of Lafayette; his son, Vincent (Alison) Parr of Fishers; and his grandchildren, Nicholas Parr and Ashley Parr. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, Judy, Jim, Ray, Mary, Hazel, Kathy, Cherie, DeVon Jo, Terry, Steve, Greg, Paula, Shane, Paul, and Danielle.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Wesley, James, Carl, Kenneth, George, Rex, Joseph, and Mildred, his niece, Vicki, and nephew, Ray.
A Masonic Service will begin at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 2 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel followed by a Memorial Service. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Burial in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens will be at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to Tippecanoe Public Library or the Shriners Children's Hospital in loving memory of Bill.
