Joanne Groninger Ratcliff

After graduating Delphi High, attended Methodist Hospital School of Nursing for 1 year, married Dean, and spent one winter in Alaska while he was in the Army. Pulled a house trailer up there over the Alcan Hy. thru Canada in the winter. [We were foolish kids!] Came back to Delphi and went to St. Elizabeth School of Medical Technology, graduated, worked at Michigan City hospital lab while Dean went to Valpo Tech, then came back to Delphi area and started having kids and have been here ever since! Worked at various jobs outside home, substitute rural mail carrier, supervisor at group home for developmentally disabled men, etc. Became enamored with German Shepherd Dogs, bred one litter, showed them, and enjoyed them immensely, but then decided they took too much out of my life in time, work, worry, grief, and expense. Still love the breed tho. We became interested in antique vehicles when Dean had my dad's old '28 Ford AA farm truck restored. Acquired a 1919 Ford Model A delivery ["pie"] van and our "baby," a '64 1/2 red Ford Mustang convertible. Sold a couple other trucks, a '25 and '29, we didn't want. Other than this, we lead a very quiet life enjoying our kids, grandkids, and now 2 new great-granddaughters. I have a FaceBook page to which I welcome friends. I hope I'll see you there!
