Dan McCain

I came back to Delphi to live in the home where I was born on land that my great, great grandfather. He purchased it in 1857 and operated lime kilns onsite. He shipped industrial products called plaster, mortar and whitewash on the canal behind the property.

My degree was in Agronomy from Purdue University and my career was with USDA Soil Conservation Service. Near the end of my 34 year career I worked in a national conservation center at Purdue and traveled extensively in and out of United States.

I wasn't much of a student in my school days. I did better after I graduated, got my college education and went to work.
